The Floyd Rose SL212RP is a hardened steel locking nut for the Floyd Rose SpeedLoader series. It clamps the strings at the headstock end, taking tuning load off the tuners entirely once the bridge is set. If your SpeedLoader nut is stripped, cracked, or missing a clamping block, this is the direct replacement.

Fit is decided by two numbers, not by guitar brand. This nut is cut for a neck width of 1.650 in (41.90 mm) and a fretboard radius of 12 inches. Both have to match your neck. Too flat a radius and the outer strings sit proud of the nut saddles and buzz. Too narrow a width and the strings crowd the fretboard edge. Floyd Rose sizes its nuts by width code — R2, R3, R4 and so on — so pull the existing nut and measure across the slot before ordering. Do not guess from the guitar model name.

The nut is machined from hardened steel. That matters on a SpeedLoader because the string ends lock directly into the nut body rather than passing through a separate block; the clamping forces are higher than on a conventional Floyd Rose, and softer alloys wear out the saddle slots over time.
