The tension plate is the steel carrier that sits across the back of the bridge block and holds the fine tuners in position. On a Speedloader system the fine tuners thread through this plate, so if the plate is cracked, stripped or missing, the tuners have nothing to anchor against and the bridge cannot be brought to pitch by hand. This is the replacement plate for that part.
Fit is the critical question before you order. This plate is cut for the Floyd Rose Speedloader series specifically — it is not a universal fine tuner plate and will not drop into a standard Floyd Rose or other floating tremolo. If you are not certain your bridge is a Speedloader, check the saddles: Speedloader saddles accept strings without ball ends, loaded straight in from the front. A standard Floyd Rose saddle locks the ball-end string at the block. Wrong series, wrong plate.
Material is steel. Floyd Rose manufactures this part under part number FRSLFTTPP.
If you are not sure this is the right plate for your guitar, send us the make, model and year and we will check it against what we have on the shelf.
