Description

The tension plate is the steel plate that spans the rear of the tremolo block and carries the fine tuner barrels. When the original plate cracks, strips a barrel thread, or corrodes to the point where the tuners bind, this is the part to replace. This is a Floyd Rose factory replacement for the 1000 Series tremolo — not a generic aftermarket plate cut to approximate dimensions.

Fit is decided by the tremolo series, not the guitar brand. This plate is cut for the Floyd Rose 1000 Series specifically. If you are looking at a different Floyd Rose series — Original, Special, Pro, or a licensed variant — the plate geometry will differ and this part will not drop in. Before ordering, confirm the series designation on your tremolo block or bridge plate.

The plate is stainless steel. On original 1000 Series units, the plate is often a softer alloy; the barrel threads go first, usually on the wound strings where tuner load is highest. Stainless runs harder than the stock material on most 1000 Series units, so the replacement threads hold longer under repeated fine-tuning load.

If you are not certain this is the right plate for your tremolo, send us the make, model and year of your guitar and we will check it against what we have on the bench.
