The base plate is the foundation of the Floyd Rose Non-Fine Tuner system — it sits in the body route, carries the posts and pivot points, and takes the full load of string tension against spring tension every time the arm moves. When a plate cracks, strips at the post inserts, or corrodes past the point of reliable contact, the whole bridge becomes unpredictable. This is the direct replacement, in hardened steel with a gold finish, made for the Non-Fine Tuner series.

Fit is series-specific. Floyd Rose hardware that looks identical between generations is frequently cut to different dimensions, and a plate from the wrong series will not sit correctly in the body route or align with the existing posts. Before ordering, confirm that the system currently in your guitar is the Non-Fine Tuner series — not the Original, not the Special, not the Pro series. If you are not certain which series is installed, measure the cavity and compare it against the system on the guitar before committing to this part.

The plate is hardened steel throughout, not a softer alloy with a surface treatment. Hardened steel resists the deformation at post seats that develops over years of heavy use and is what allows the bridge to return to the same position reliably after a dive or pull.
