Description

This is a steel shim that sits between the sustain block and the base plate on a Floyd Rose Special tremolo. Its job is to correct the block's seating position — used when a block replacement has left a small gap in the mounting stack, or when the block is rocking instead of sitting flush against the plate.

Fit is decided by two things: the length of your sustain block has to clear your body cavity without bottoming out on a dive or sitting too high to let the springs pull at the right angle, and the mounting screw pattern on this shim has to match the base plate you are bolting it to. This shim is made for the Floyd Rose Special series — if your bridge is a different series, measure the screw pattern before ordering. Block material changes attack character; it does not change whether the part physically clears your cavity. Measure the cavity depth and your existing block length before adding any shim to the stack.

Steel construction. The existing listing references a set of three — if you need a single shim versus a set, contact us to confirm what ships.

If you are not certain this is the right shim for your setup, send us the make, model and year of your guitar and we will check it.
