Description

These are the string-lock saddles for the Floyd Rose Special series tremolo. Each saddle clamps the string at the bridge end — the small bolt drives a block against the string to lock it in place. When a saddle cracks, strips its lock bolt thread, or loses enough mass to affect sustain noticeably, you replace the saddle. This set covers all six strings.

Fit is specific to the Special series. Floyd Rose saddles are not interchangeable across their tremolo lines — a saddle from the Original or 1000 series will not seat correctly here, even if it looks close. Buy for the Special and nothing else. The set replaces all six at once because mixing worn saddles with new ones leaves the string heights uneven across the radius. If you have one bad saddle, the rest are worn to the same plane; replacing only the damaged one will pull that string out of the curve.

Material is hardened steel with a satin black finish. Hardened steel resists the deformation that occurs at the lock bolt contact point over time — soft saddles wallow out and the string shifts under tuning load.

Not sure this is the right saddle for your tremolo? Send us the make, model and year of your guitar and we will confirm before you order.
