Description

These are the string-lock saddles for the Floyd Rose Special series tremolo. Each saddle clamps the string at the bridge end, so when the lock screw is tightened the string cannot slip at the saddle — the bridge stays in tune through heavy use. If a saddle is stripped, cracked, or the lock screw has chewed the seat, the string will not hold pitch regardless of how the nut is locked. That is the problem this set fixes.

Fit is not interchangeable across Floyd Rose generations. These saddles are cut for the Special series. They will not drop straight into an Original series, 1000 series, or Pro series block, even when the parts look similar side by side. If you are not certain which series your bridge is, pull the saddle out and read any stamping on the block or baseplate before ordering. Sold as a full set of six because saddle height is ground to a consistent radius — put new saddles next to worn ones and the string-to-fret gap will be uneven across the neck.

Material is hardened steel with a black finish. Hardened steel resists the saddle seat deforming under string tension and repeated clamping, which is the common failure mode on a heavily played bridge. The black finish matches the original Special series hardware.

If you are unsure whether this is the right saddle for your bridge, send us the make, model, and year of your guitar and we will check it against what we have on the shelf.
