Description

The string-lock saddle is the part that takes the most abuse on a floating tremolo — each one clamps, intonates and transfers string vibration directly to the block. When a saddle strips its lock screw thread, cracks at the clamp slot, or wears the string groove deep enough to affect break angle, the whole bridge goes with it. This is a factory replacement set of six hardened steel saddles in nickel finish, built for the Floyd Rose Special series.

Fit is the thing to get right before ordering. These saddles are cut to the Special series and do not transfer across other Floyd Rose generations — not the Original, not the 1000, not the Pro — even where the saddles appear visually identical. You need to match the series, not just the brand. Because string height is set across all six saddles as a unit, Floyd Rose sells them as a set of six. Dropping one new saddle into five worn ones leaves the radius uneven; the outer strings sit higher or lower than the middle and the guitar will not set up cleanly.

Material is hardened steel with a nickel finish. Hardened steel resists the wear at the string contact point and the clamp face — the two places that fail first on a heavily used unit. The nickel finish matches the standard Special series hardware.

If you are not certain this is the right saddle set for your guitar, send us the make, model and year and we will check it against what we have on the shelf.
