These are the string-lock saddles for the Floyd Rose 1000 Series tremolo — the small blocks that clamp each string at the bridge and take the first hit every time the bar moves. When a saddle is worn, stripped, or cracked, the string locks inconsistently and the guitar stops returning to pitch at the bridge end. This set replaces all six.
Fit is specific to the 1000 Series. Floyd Rose saddles are cut for their own tremolo generation and do not drop into other series, even where they look similar at a glance. Mixing this set into an older or newer unit is not a safe workaround. The set-of-six matters too: swapping only the failed saddle against worn originals leaves the string heights uneven across the neck and the radius will not follow the fretboard correctly. Replace all six together.
Saddles are hardened steel with a nickel finish, matching the 1000 Series hardware. Hardened steel resists the deformation that causes string lock to loosen over time — soft saddles compress under clamping load and the string slips.
If you are not certain this is the right generation for your bridge, send us the make, model and year of your guitar and we will confirm before you order.
