Description

These are the pivot studs the Floyd Rose Special bridge rocks on — the two points of contact between the knife edges and the body. When those edges are worn into the stud surface, or the studs have been cross-threaded or corroded, the bridge cannot return to a consistent pivot point and tuning stability goes with it. Replacing the studs is often the fix before the bridge itself is blamed.

Fit is determined by the insert already pressed into your body, not by the bridge. Stud and insert diameters differ between Floyd Rose series and between metric and imperial-routed bodies. Measure your existing stud or check against the insert before ordering — pulling a press-fit insert to swap it out is a bench job, and forcing the wrong stud diameter into a body insert damages both. If you are not certain which series your guitar was routed for, send us the make, model and year before you buy.

These are hardened steel with a chrome finish, made to the Special Series specification. Floyd Rose part number FRS2BMMSCP. Sold as a set of two.

Not sure this is the right stud for your guitar? Send us the make, model and year and we will confirm the fit before you order.
