This is the sustain block that mounts below the Floyd Rose Original base plate and takes the tension of the springs. The FROSTBL32 is machined from granite — specifically the material Floyd Rose markets as Stone Tone — and is sized at 32mm. It replaces a worn, cracked or wrong-length block on an Original-series bridge.

Fit comes down to two things: cavity clearance and screw pattern. The block length has to match your body cavity — too long and the block hits the bottom of the cavity before a full dive; too short and the springs pull at the wrong angle and the bridge won't return to pitch reliably. Measure your existing block and your available cavity depth before ordering. The mounting screw pattern also has to match your Original-series base plate; this block will not drop onto a different bridge series. Material is a separate question from fit — granite versus steel or brass changes the character of the attack, but it has no bearing on whether the block clears your cavity.

The block is granite. Granite is hard and dense. That physical density changes how the bridge transfers vibration compared to a standard steel block — the attack and sustain character will shift noticeably on installation. The block ships with stainless steel mounting screws. Because the geometry of this block differs from a conventional sustain block, it can contact the body and function as a travel stop in a blocked configuration; in a fully floating setup your spring cavity may need routing to give it clearance.
