The base plate is the foundation of the Floyd Rose Non-Fine Tuner system — the machined block that the saddles, locking inserts, and arm mechanism all anchor to. When a plate cracks, strips at a pivot point, or corrodes past the point of reliable contact, the whole bridge becomes unpredictable. This is the direct replacement, finished in satin chrome, made from hardened steel.
Fit is series-specific. Floyd Rose hardware that looks identical across generations is often cut to different dimensions, and a plate from the wrong series will not sit correctly even if it drops into the cavity. This plate is built for the Non-Fine Tuner series only. Before ordering, confirm which exact system is in your guitar — not just the brand, but the series. If there is any doubt, measure what you have and check the series markings on the existing plate before committing to a replacement.
Hardened steel means the plate resists the deformation that softer alloys develop at the pivot edges over years of heavy use. The satin chrome finish reduces glare without the maintenance overhead of a polished surface.
If you are not certain this is the right plate for your guitar, send us the make, model, and year and we will check it against what we know.
