The Floyd Rose FRNFTBPSBP is a replacement base plate for the Non-Fine Tuner series of Floyd Rose tremolo systems. The base plate is the foundation the entire bridge assembly sits on — saddles, block, knife edges all reference it. When the plate is worn, cracked, or has damaged knife-edge seats, the bridge cannot return to pitch consistently regardless of how well everything else is set up.
Fit is series-specific. Floyd Rose tremolo generations share a visual family resemblance but are cut to different dimensions between series, and parts do not cross over reliably. This plate is built for the Non-Fine Tuner series. If you are not certain which series is installed in your guitar, pull the bridge and identify the series markings before ordering — a plate from the wrong series will not sit correctly in the posts or the cavity.
Constructed from hardened steel with a satin black finish. Hardened steel resists the deformation at the knife-edge contact points that causes tuning instability over time; softer alloys groove and the bridge loses its pivot.
If you are unsure whether this plate matches your system, send us the make, model and year of your guitar and we will confirm before you order.
