Description

A complete double-locking tremolo system built for 8-string guitars. The FRT801000 ships as a full kit: bridge, saddles, block, locking nut, springs and claw, mounting studs, and installation hardware. Nothing else needs to be sourced separately. The finish is chrome.

String count and mounting style are the two things that decide whether this fits your guitar before anything else. This is an 8-string unit — it will not work on a 6- or 7-string instrument. Beyond string count, a recessed Floyd-style system requires a rear cavity route and specific stud spacing. If your guitar already has a double-locking recessed bridge, the question is whether the existing stud spacing and block clearance are compatible. If you are replacing a non-locking bridge, that is a routing job. The neck angle matters too. Measure before ordering.

The base plate and saddles are hardened steel. The block is nickel-plated brass. The tremolo arm is stainless steel, and the springs are coiled steel. These are the same material grades used across the Floyd Rose 1000 Series range.

If you are not certain this is the right unit for your guitar, send us the make, model and year and we will confirm the fit.
