Description

A complete double-locking tremolo system built for 8-string guitars. The FRT802000 ships as a full kit — bridge plate, saddles, block, locking nut, springs and claw, mounting studs, and all installation hardware. Nothing else to source. The system is finished in black.

String count and mounting style are what decide whether this fits your guitar. This is an 8-string unit; it will not work on a 6- or 7-string instrument. Beyond that, your existing route calls the shots. A recessed installation requires a rear cavity and a specific top-plate cut; a top-mount does not. Stud spacing and neck angle also have to line up. If you are pulling a non-locking bridge off and fitting this in its place, that is a routing job — the guitar will need bench work before this drops in. Measure your existing cavity and stud spacing before ordering.

The base plate, saddles, and screws are hardened steel. The block is nickel-plated brass. The arm is stainless steel, and the springs are coiled steel. These are the same material grades used across Floyd Rose's Original-spec bridge family.

If you are unsure whether this is the right unit for your guitar, send us the make, model, and year and we will work through the fit with you.
