The FRT805000 is Floyd Rose's 1000 Series double-locking tremolo system built for 8-string guitars, finished in black nickel. It ships as a complete kit: bridge, locking nut, springs and claw, mounting studs, and the hardware needed to install it. Nothing extra to source before you can start the job.
String count and mounting style decide whether this fits before anything else does. This is an 8-string unit — it will not work on a 6- or 7-string neck. Beyond string count, the guitar's existing cavity route, stud spacing, and neck angle all have to line up. If the guitar currently has a non-locking bridge, fitting this system is a routing job. If it already has a recessed double-locking system, check that the stud spacing and block length clear the existing cavity before ordering. A top-mount guitar has different requirements again. Measure the guitar, not the old bridge.
The baseplate and saddles are hardened steel. The block is nickel-plated brass. The arm is stainless steel. Springs and screws are coiled steel and hardened steel respectively. The black nickel finish is on the metalwork, not a coating over soft material.
