The Floyd Rose Special FRTSSS2000 is a complete 7-string double-locking tremolo system in black. It ships as a kit: bridge, locking nut, springs and claw, mounting studs, and the hardware needed to install it. Nothing else to source separately. The Special series is manufactured in Korea for Floyd Rose and follows the Original Floyd Rose design — the functional difference is in the block and saddles, which are zinc alloy rather than brass and steel respectively. The base plate is spot-hardened steel; the arm and springs are steel.
Fit is decided by two things before anything else: string count and your guitar's existing route. This is a 7-string unit — it will not work on a 6-string or 8-string guitar. Beyond that, a recessed Floyd-style system requires a rear cavity routed into the body. If your guitar already carries a recessed double-locking bridge, the drop-in question comes down to stud spacing and neck angle. If you are replacing a non-locking or top-mount bridge, that is a routing job. The existing cavity geometry, stud centres, and the block's clearance in the route all have to be confirmed before ordering.
The zinc alloy block and saddles are lighter than the brass and steel used in the Original series. The trade-off is what matters in a repair context: zinc alloy saddles are more prone to thread damage from over-torqued string-lock screws than steel saddles are. If you are replacing a stripped saddle on an existing Special, this is the correct matching system.
