A complete double-locking tremolo kit for 7-string guitars, finished in satin gold. The package includes the bridge plate, saddles, sustain block, locking nut, springs and claw, mounting studs, and all installation hardware — everything needed to put a Floyd Rose Special on a 7-string instrument in one order. The Special series is manufactured in Korea for Floyd Rose. It uses the same design as the Original 7-string but substitutes zinc alloy saddles and a zinc alloy sustain block in place of steel and brass respectively. The base plate is spot-hardened steel; the arm and screws are steel; the springs are coiled steel.
String count and mounting style decide whether this part fits before anything else is considered. This is a 7-string unit — it will not carry 6 or 8 strings. Beyond that, the guitar's existing body route, stud spacing and neck angle all have to line up. A recessed Floyd Rose system requires a rear cavity routed into the body; a top-mount does not. If your guitar currently has a non-locking bridge, fitting this system is a routing job. Measure your existing stud spacing and confirm your cavity dimensions before ordering. If those numbers are unknown, measure the guitar — do not assume.
The zinc alloy block and saddles are worth understanding before you buy. Zinc alloy is lighter and less dense than brass or steel. That changes the feel of the return-to-pitch and the sustain character compared to a brass-block unit. It is a cost-effective material choice, not a defect. If you are replacing a worn Special with another Special, the behaviour will be consistent. If you are stepping down from an Original, note the difference.
