The FRTS3000 is a complete double-locking Floyd Rose Special tremolo system in gold finish. It ships as a full kit: bridge plate, saddles, sustain block, locking nut, springs, claw, mounting studs, and installation hardware. Nothing else needs to be ordered to have a working system. The Special series is manufactured in Korea for Floyd Rose and follows the same design layout as the Original, with zinc alloy saddles and a zinc alloy sustain block in place of the steel and brass used in the higher-tier units. The base plate is spot-hardened steel; the arm and springs are steel.
String count and mounting geometry are what actually decide fit — not brand preference. This is a 6-string unit and will not work on a 7- or 8-string instrument. Beyond that, your existing body route controls everything. A guitar already routed for a recessed Floyd-style system is a straightforward swap if stud spacing and neck angle are compatible. A guitar with a flat-mount or stop-tail bridge is a routing job, not a drop-in replacement — the body needs a rear cavity cut and the top geometry has to be right before the first stud goes in. Check your stud spacing and route dimensions before ordering.
The zinc alloy block is lighter than brass and will behave differently under heavy use compared to the Original's brass block. That is the material trade-off the Special makes. For a guitar that already has a working Floyd route and needs a full-system replacement rather than individual parts, the FRTS3000 covers the whole job in one order.
