A complete double-locking tremolo system for 7-string electric guitars, sold as a single kit. The box contains the bridge, saddles, sustain block, locking nut, springs and claw, mounting studs, and all installation hardware. Nothing additional is needed to mount it beyond the tools and the route.
String count and mounting style are the two things that decide whether this unit fits your guitar. This is a 7-string system — it will not work on a 6-string or 8-string instrument. Beyond that, a recessed installation requires a rear cavity routed into the body; a top-mount guitar does not. Your existing stud spacing and neck angle also have to match. If you are replacing a non-locking bridge, plan for routing work — that is a bench job, not a direct swap. Measure your cavity, your stud spacing, and check your neck angle before ordering.
The Special Series sits between a licensed copy and an Original Floyd Rose in its material specification. The base plate is spot-hardened steel. Saddles and sustain block are zinc alloy rather than the steel saddles and brass block found on Original-series units. The tremolo arm and screws are steel; springs are coiled steel. Finish is black nickel. The part number is FRTSSS5000.
