The Floyd Rose Special FRTSSS7000 is a complete 7-string double-locking tremolo kit in Antique Bronze. One box covers the whole job: bridge plate, saddles, sustain block, locking nut, springs and claw, mounting studs, and installation hardware. Nothing else to source separately.
String count and mounting style are the two decisions that determine whether this part fits before anything else. This unit is built for 7-string instruments — a 6-string bridge will not carry the seventh course, and this one will not fit a 6-string neck pocket or nut slot. Beyond string count, the guitar's existing body route, stud spacing, and neck angle have to match a recessed Floyd-style installation. A guitar currently wearing a non-locking bridge almost certainly needs routing to accept this system. That is a bench job. If you are unsure what your guitar has, measure the existing cavity and stud spacing before ordering.
The Special Series sits below the Original in Floyd Rose's own lineup. The base plate is spot-hardened steel. The saddles and sustain block are zinc alloy rather than the steel and brass used in the Original. The tremolo arm and springs are steel. The finish is Antique Bronze throughout.
