A complete rebuild kit for 7-string double-locking tremolos. The Floyd Rose Original Hot Rod 7-String kit (FRTCS800SS) bundles the bridge, locking nut, springs and claw, mounting studs, and all installation hardware into a single order. The block is a Fat Brass Block. Screws are stainless steel. The base plate and saddles are hardened steel. The tremolo arm is stainless steel. The bridge assembly is manufactured in Germany; the stainless steel screws are made in the USA. Finish is Satin Pearl.
Fit is the part that will break your day if you get it wrong. This kit is built to Original 7-String series dimensions. It drops in cleanly only if the bridge already in your guitar shares that same footprint — same series, same stud spacing, same 7-string geometry. If you are swapping out a different series or a different manufacturer's unit, measure what is in the guitar before ordering. A mismatch in stud spacing or block clearance turns a parts swap into a routing job.
The Hot Rod series adds the Fat Brass Block over the standard Original. Brass shifts the mass distribution of the sustain block without changing the mounting footprint, which is why players upgrading an existing Original 7-String unit reach for this kit rather than hunting individual components. The double-locking design — locked at the nut, locked at the bridge — is what keeps a floating system in tune under heavy use. Both lock points have to seat correctly for that to hold.
