This is a complete Floyd Rose Original Hot Rod 7-string tremolo kit in satin gold. It bundles everything needed to rebuild or install a double-locking floating tremolo from scratch: bridge, locking nut, springs and claw, mounting studs, and all installation hardware. The double-locking design clamps the strings at the nut and at the bridge saddles independently, which is what gives a Floyd Rose its pitch stability under heavy use.
Fit is the first thing to sort out. This kit shares the footprint of the Floyd Rose Original 7-string series. If your guitar already runs an Original 7-string, this is likely a direct swap. If it runs a different series, a different manufacturer's bridge, or a 6-string unit, the dimensions will not match — and a mismatch here means routing the body, not just swapping parts. Check what is actually in the guitar before ordering.
The baseplate and saddles are hardened steel. The tremolo block is the Fat Brass Block spec — a heavier block than standard, which changes the mass sitting behind the saddles. Screws are stainless steel, made in the USA. The bridge itself is made in Germany. Springs are coiled steel. Finish across the assembly is satin gold.
