This kit bundles everything needed to rebuild or replace a Floyd Rose Original Hot Rod double-locking tremolo in one order: bridge, locking nut, springs and claw, mounting studs, and all installation hardware. The double-locking design locks the strings at the nut and at the bridge independently. That combination is what lets the system return to pitch after hard dive-bomb or pull-up use — one lock point failing defeats both. Having the full hardware set in hand before you start means no mid-job sourcing delays.
Fit is the first question to answer before ordering. The Original Hot Rod shares its footprint with the Floyd Rose Original series. If what is in your guitar now is a different series, a different string count, or a different stud spacing, this kit will not drop in — the swap becomes a routing or stud-relocation job. Pull the existing bridge and confirm the series and spacing against what is here before you purchase.
The baseplate and saddles are hardened steel. The block is a fat brass block, which is a heavier and larger mass than the standard Original block. The tremolo arm and screws are stainless steel. The springs are coiled steel. Finish is satin gold. The bridge assembly is made in Germany; the stainless steel screws are made in the USA.
