This is a complete rebuild kit for a 7-string Floyd Rose double-locking tremolo, finished in gold. It ships with the bridge, locking nut, springs and claw, mounting studs, and all installation hardware — everything needed to pull an old unit and replace it in one go. The block is a fat brass unit; the screws are stainless steel made in the USA; the baseplate and saddles are hardened steel. Assembly is done in Germany.
Fit is the sticking point with any kit. This one shares the footprint of the Floyd Rose Original 7-string, so it drops in cleanly only if what is already in your guitar matches those same dimensions — same series, same 7-string spacing, same stud spacing. If the installed bridge is a different series or a different manufacturer's unit, the studs and routing may not line up. Measure what is in the guitar before ordering. A mismatch here is not a setup problem; it is a woodworking problem.
The Hot Rod Series sits above the standard Original. The fat brass block is the main difference from a stock Original kit — brass changes the mass and the sustain characteristics of the block compared to a steel unit. The stainless steel saddle screws resist the corrosion and wear that strips out zinc or mild steel hardware over years of use.
