This is a complete rebuild kit for a 7-string floating tremolo — bridge, locking nut, springs and claw, mounting studs, and all installation hardware in one box. It is built on the Original Hot Rod Series platform. Where the standard Original uses a standard steel block, the Hot Rod comes fitted with a fat brass block and stainless steel screws. The double-locking design locks the strings at both the nut and the bridge saddles, which is what actually keeps the guitar in tune under heavy use of the arm.
A kit only drops in if the footprint already matches. This one shares dimensions with the Floyd Rose Original 7-String. If the bridge currently in your guitar is a different series, a different manufacturer, or a different string count, the studs will not line up and the block may not clear the cavity. Measure what you have — stud spacing, cavity depth, block length — before ordering. A dimension mismatch turns a parts swap into a routing job.
The base plate and saddles are hardened steel. The block is brass. Screws are stainless steel. The tremolo itself is made in Germany; the stainless screws are made in the USA. The finish is nickel throughout the kit.
