A complete 7-string rebuild kit in black from Floyd Rose's Original Hot Rod series. The kit ships with the bridge, locking nut, springs and claw, mounting studs, and the full hardware set needed to install a double-locking tremolo from scratch. The block is a Fat Brass Block. Screws throughout are stainless steel, US-made. The base plate and saddles are hardened steel. The bridge is manufactured in Germany.
This kit is a drop-in replacement only if it matches the footprint of what is already in the guitar — same series dimensions, same stud spacing, same 7-string layout. The Hot Rod series shares its dimensions with the FR Original 7-String. If you are replacing anything outside that family, do not assume the holes line up. Measure your existing stud spacing and cavity depth before ordering, or you are looking at a routing job, not a parts swap.
The Fat Brass Block is a heavier mass alternative to the standard steel block. It is a known substitution for players who have worn out the original block or are rebuilding a bridge that came apart. The stainless steel screws resist the galling and corrosion that strips the originals over years of string changes and saddle adjustments.
