This is a complete rebuild kit for a 6-string Floyd Rose Original-series bridge. It ships with the bridge, locking nut, springs and claw, mounting studs, and all hardware needed to get a double-locking system back in service — or to swap out a worn original in one go. The double-locking design locks at both the nut and the saddles, which is what actually keeps a floating bridge in tune through hard use. The Hot Rod series sits on the same footprint as the FR Original and adds a Fat Brass block and stainless steel screws over the standard spec.
A kit fits cleanly only when the guitar already has a bridge that shares the same series dimensions, the same 6-string layout, and the same stud spacing. If your guitar has a different bridge series installed, or a different string count, this kit will not drop in without woodwork. Pull the existing bridge and confirm the series and stud spacing before ordering — do not go by the guitar model name alone, since many instruments have been re-routed or fitted with non-original hardware over the years.
The baseplate and saddles are hardened steel. The block is brass, which is heavier than the standard zinc block and affects how the bridge transfers resonance into the body. The screws are stainless steel, made in the USA. The tremolo arm is also stainless steel. The finish across the kit is black nickel. The bridge itself is manufactured in Germany.
