The Floyd Rose Original Hot Rod Gold Tremolo Kit (FRTC300SS) is a complete six-string double-locking tremolo package. It contains the bridge, locking nut, springs and claw, mounting studs, and all hardware needed for a full installation or rebuild. The Hot Rod series shares the same dimensions as the Floyd Rose Original, so if you are replacing an Original-series bridge, the footprint carries over. The distinguishing feature over a standard Original kit is the Fat Brass block and stainless steel screws.
Fit is decided by what is already in the guitar. This kit works as a drop-in only if your current bridge is the same series, same string count, and same stud spacing. A mismatch on any of those three points means the guitar needs routing or re-drilling — that is a different job. Pull the existing bridge and verify the series and footprint before ordering.
The base plate and saddles are hardened steel. The tremolo block is the Fat Brass variant, which is heavier than the standard zinc block in a stock Original. The screws are stainless steel, made in the USA. The bridge itself is manufactured in Germany. The finish throughout is gold.
