A complete double-locking tremolo system built for 7-string guitars. The kit ships with the bridge plate, individual saddles, sustain block, locking nut, springs and claw, mounting studs, and all installation hardware — everything needed to fit a working locking tremolo in one box. The locking nut clamps the strings at the headstock; the bridge locks them at the saddle. Both lock points hold pitch through heavy use that would pull a conventional vibrato out of tune.
String count and mounting style are the two decisions that determine fit before anything else. This is a 7-string unit — it will not seat 6-string or 8-string string spacing correctly. Beyond string count, you need to know whether your guitar's body is already routed for a recessed system, what stud spacing is cut into the top, and what neck angle you are working with. If you are replacing an existing Floyd Rose Original 7-string unit of the same generation, the swap may be direct. If you are converting from a non-locking bridge, plan for routing work — this is not a drop-in parts exchange. Measure the cavity depth, the stud spacing, and confirm the neck angle before ordering.
The baseplate, saddles, and screws are hardened steel. The sustain block is nickel-plated brass. The arm is stainless steel. Springs are coiled steel. The finish on this unit is gold. Material choice in the original series is not decorative engineering — the block material and plate hardness are what the design was built around, and copies running softer alloys behave differently under string tension.
