The Floyd Rose FRT300 is a complete Original Series double-locking tremolo kit in gold finish. The system locks at two points — the locking nut clamps the strings at the headstock, the saddle fine-tuners let you adjust pitch once the nut is closed, and the bridge locks at the other end. That two-point lock is what keeps a Floyd Rose in tune through heavy use in a way a non-locking bridge cannot. The kit ships with the bridge, locking nut, springs and claw, mounting studs, and all hardware needed for installation.
String count and mounting style decide whether this part fits your guitar before anything else. This is a 6-string unit — it will not work on a 7- or 8-string instrument. Beyond that, a recessed Floyd Rose installation requires a routed cavity in the body and a corresponding rear spring cavity. If your guitar currently has a non-locking bridge or a hardtail, fitting this system is a routing job, not a straight swap. Stud spacing and neck angle matter too. Measure your existing route and stud centres before ordering.
The bridge plate and saddles are hardened steel. The block is nickel-plated brass. The arm is stainless steel, and the screws are hardened steel with coiled steel springs. The gold finish runs across the unit.
