A complete double-locking tremolo system built for 7-string electric guitar. The bridge, saddles, locking nut, tremolo block, arm, springs, claw, mounting studs and all installation hardware ship together as one kit. The double-locking design clamps the strings at the nut and at the bridge independently, so the guitar holds pitch through heavy arm use in both directions. This is the Original Series — the same mechanical layout Floyd Rose has produced since the system's first production runs.
String count and mounting style decide whether this fits your guitar before anything else does. This is a 7-string unit; it will not carry six strings correctly, and an 8-string guitar needs a wider unit. Beyond string count, the mounting method matters: a recessed installation requires a rear body route and specific stud spacing, while a top-mount sits on the surface. Your guitar's existing route depth, stud spacing and neck angle all determine whether this is a direct drop-in or whether the install requires bench work. Converting a non-locking bridge to this system is a routing job — plan for it. Measure your cavity and stud spacing before ordering.
Materials from Floyd Rose's spec sheet: hardened steel baseplate and saddles, nickel-plated brass tremolo block, stainless steel arm, hardened steel screws, coiled steel springs. The brass block is the component most often swapped on worn systems; here it ships new as part of the kit. Chrome finish throughout.
