The Floyd Rose Special FRTS1000 is a complete double-locking tremolo kit for 6-string electric guitar. One box contains the bridge, locking nut, saddles, sustain block, springs and claw, mounting studs, and all installation hardware. Nothing else to source — it is a full system ready for the bench.
String count and mounting style are what decide whether this part fits your guitar, and both have to be right. This is a 6-string unit; it will not carry 7 or 8 strings. Whether it drops straight in or requires routing depends on your existing bridge route, stud spacing, and neck angle. If you are replacing a non-locking bridge, that is a routing job — not a straight swap. Measure your cavity depth and stud spacing before ordering, and check that your neck angle is set up for a recessed double-locking system.
The Special Series uses a spot-hardened steel base plate, zinc alloy saddles and sustain block, a steel tremolo arm, steel screws, and coiled steel springs. The saddles and block are zinc rather than the steel and brass found on the Original series. The finish is chrome.
If you are not certain this is the right system for your guitar, send us the make, model, and year and we will work it out with you.
