The Floyd Rose FRT100 is a complete double-locking tremolo kit in chrome finish. One unit covers everything the installation needs: bridge plate, saddles, block, locking nut, springs and claw, mounting studs, and the remaining hardware. The double-locking design clamps the strings at the nut and at the bridge independently. When both locks are set, the strings have no path to slip at either anchor point, which is what keeps a floating bridge in tune through hard use.
String count and mounting style are what decide whether this part fits your guitar — not preference, not brand. This is a 6-string unit. It will not tension 7 or 8 strings. Beyond that, a recessed Floyd-style system requires a rear route through the body and a specific stud spacing to match the bridge plate. If your guitar currently runs a non-locking bridge, fitting this is a routing job. The existing cavity geometry, stud spacing and neck angle all have to be right before this drops in. Measure the route and the stud spread before ordering.
Materials are drawn from the Original series spec: hardened steel for the base plate, saddles and screws; nickel-plated brass for the tremolo block; stainless steel for the arm; coiled steel for the springs. The brass block is the part most often swapped on worn units — having it included in a kit matters if the original is cracked or pitted at the string channels.
