A complete double-locking tremolo kit from Floyd Rose's Special series. The box contains the bridge plate, saddles, sustain block, locking nut, springs, claw, mounting studs, and the hardware needed to install it. You are not sourcing components separately — everything that makes up a functioning Floyd Rose-style system is in one kit, finished in satin chrome.
Fit starts with two hard filters. First: this is a 6-string unit. It will not work on a 7- or 8-string guitar. Second: mounting style and existing routing decide whether this installs cleanly or requires bench work. If your guitar already has a recessed double-locking route with compatible stud spacing and the neck angle suits a floating bridge, this may drop in. If you are replacing a non-locking bridge, expect routing — that is a conversion job, not a straight swap. Measure your existing stud spacing and cavity depth before ordering.
The Special series uses a zinc alloy sustain block and zinc alloy saddles rather than the brass block and steel saddles found on the Original series. The base plate is spot-hardened steel. The tremolo arm and screws are steel, the springs are coiled steel. That material difference is worth knowing if you are comparing this against other Floyd Rose series units.
