This is a complete rebuild kit for a Floyd Rose Original Hot Rod double-locking tremolo system. It covers a six-string guitar and comes with everything needed for a full installation: bridge, locking nut, springs and claw, mounting studs, and all associated hardware. The double-locking design clamps the strings at the nut and at the bridge independently, which is what allows the system to return to pitch after heavy use of the arm. The Hot Rod series shares the same dimensions as the Floyd Rose Original.
A kit like this only drops straight in if it matches what is already in the guitar — same series footprint, same string count, same stud spacing. Before ordering, identify exactly which bridge is installed and confirm the dimensions match. If the series is different, fitting this kit is a routing job, not a parts swap. When in doubt, measure the stud spacing and block cavity before you order anything.
The base plate and saddles are hardened steel. The tremolo block is brass — the Fat Brass Block listed in the specs. Screws are stainless steel. Springs are coiled steel. The bridge plate is made in Germany; the stainless steel screws are made in the USA. Finish is Satin Chrome throughout.
