These are the pivot studs and body inserts the Floyd Rose 1000 Series bridge rocks on. When the knife edges wear into a soft or out-of-spec stud, the bridge cannot return to a consistent pivot point — tuning stability goes with it. If your 1000 Series bridge is diving flat or sharp after bends and the spring claw and string gauges are already ruled out, the studs are the next thing to check. This is a matched set of two studs and two inserts, in hardened steel with a satin gold finish, part number FR1BMMSSG.

Fit is decided before you open the packaging. The insert pressed into your body determines which stud diameter will thread in correctly — and stud and insert dimensions vary between Floyd Rose series and between metric and imperial-routed bodies. Do not assume 1000 Series studs drop into a body set up for another series, or into an import body that looks similar. If you are not certain which inserts are already in your guitar, measure the threaded bore before ordering. Pulling and replacing inserts is a bench job: it requires the right driver and a press or a careful pull-block, not a screwdriver.

The studs are hardened steel. That matters because the knife edges bear directly on the stud shoulders under string tension — a softer material wears faster than the knife edges and introduces slop at the pivot. The satin gold finish matches 1000 Series hardware in the same family.
