These are the pivot studs and threaded body inserts the Floyd Rose 1000 Series bridge rocks on. The knife edges of the bridge plate sit directly on the studs, and if those contact points are worn, corroded, or mismatched to the bridge, the tremolo will not return to pitch consistently — regardless of how good the bridge itself is. This set replaces both studs and inserts, made from hardened steel with a chrome finish, and is the correct replacement for 1000 Series Floyd Rose tremolo systems.
Fit is decided by the insert already pressed into your body, not by the bridge. Stud and insert diameters are not consistent across Floyd Rose series, and metric and imperial bodies use different specifications. Before ordering, confirm that the insert currently in the guitar is the 1000 Series spec — if you are unsure, do not guess. Pulling an existing insert to check or swap it is a bench job; forcing the wrong stud in will damage the body.
The studs are hardened steel. Wear at the knife-edge contact point is the most common failure mode on any floating tremolo, and a soft or corroded stud accelerates it. Chrome finish.
If you are not certain this is the right set for your guitar, send us the make, model and year and we will confirm before you order.
