These are the string-lock saddles for the Floyd Rose 1000 Series tremolo. Each saddle grips the string at the bridge end — the clamping screw bites into the string and holds it in place so the tremolo can move without the string slipping through. When a saddle strips its screw thread, cracks, or wears the string slot deep enough to affect intonation, the saddle is the part you replace.
Fit is series-specific. These saddles are cut for the 1000 Series and do not swap into other Floyd Rose generations, even where the block or baseplate looks the same. They are sold as a set of six because saddle height determines your string radius across the fretboard — drop one new saddle into a set of five worn ones and the radius goes uneven. Replace all six together.
Material is hardened steel with a gold finish. Hardened steel resists the scoring that soft saddles develop under string tension over time. The gold finish matches 1000 Series hardware already in that colour.
If you are not certain this is the right saddle for your guitar, send us the make, model and year and we will confirm the fit before you order.
