These are the string-lock saddles for the Floyd Rose 1000 Series tremolo. Each saddle clamps the string at the bridge end, and the set of six covers the whole instrument in one go. Material is hardened steel with a black finish.
Fit is specific to the 1000 Series. Saddles from other Floyd Rose generations — Original, Special, Pro — are not interchangeable with these, even when the visual difference is hard to spot. If you are not certain which series is on your guitar, check the casting mark on the baseplate before ordering. The set of six matters too: mixing a new saddle into a worn set leaves the string heights inconsistent across the radius, and you will chase that unevenness every time you set the action.
Hardened steel resists the notching that soft saddles develop under heavy string clamping. When a saddle has gone soft it usually shows as a sharp edge that cuts strings at the lock point, or as a lock screw that bottoms out without holding. If either of those is happening, the saddle is the likely cause.
If you are not sure whether this is the right part for your guitar, send us the make, model and year and we will confirm before you order.
