The pivot studs and body inserts the Floyd Rose 1000 Series bridge rocks on. When a tremolo stops returning to pitch and the spring tension, saddles and nut are all fine, these are the next thing to check. The knife edges sit directly on the stud tops, and if those contact points are worn flat or the studs are even slightly mismatched to the bridge, the whole system loses its reference point.
Whether this set fits your guitar is decided by the insert already pressed into the body — not by the bridge itself. Stud and insert diameters are not consistent across Floyd Rose series, and metric and imperial bodies use different dimensions. If the insert in your guitar is not the 1000 Series spec, this stud will not seat correctly. Pulling a pressed insert is a bench job; if you are not sure what is already in your body, measure the insert diameter before ordering or send us the make, model and year.
This is a direct Floyd Rose replacement set, finished in antique silver to match 1000 Series hardware. Studs are hardened steel. Part number FR1BMMSAS, set of two studs and inserts.
