The pivot studs and body inserts the tremolo rocks on. When a Floyd Rose 1000 Series bridge won't return to pitch and the spring tension, string lock and saddle screws have all checked out, these are what you look at next. The knife edges sit directly on the stud shoulders — any wear, corrosion or slop at that contact point kills return-to-pitch before anything else is to blame. This is a matched set of two studs and two inserts, hardened steel, antique bronze finish, direct replacement for the 1000 Series.

The fit question is the insert already pressed into your body. Stud and insert diameters are not interchangeable across Floyd Rose series, and metric and imperial bodies take different inserts. If the existing insert stays in the body, the replacement stud has to match it exactly. If you are replacing both stud and insert together, the insert diameter has to match what the body was routed for. Pulling a pressed insert is a bench job — do not attempt it without the right tool or you risk splitting the wood around the cavity. Measure or verify your series before ordering.

The hardened steel construction matters here because this is a high-load pivot point under constant tension. Soft or plated-over studs wear a groove into the knife edges; once that happens the bridge is scrap. These are built to the 1000 Series spec so the geometry at the pivot shoulder is correct for that bridge.
