Ibanez built the S671ALBBCM as part of the S Axion Label Series, positioning it as a high-specification electric guitar within the S-body line. The Axion Label designation placed it above the standard S-Series tier, reflecting the choice of active Fishman Fluence electronics and premium tonewoods throughout the construction.
The guitar was constructed with a Nyatoh body and a five-piece Nitro Wizard neck combining Panga Panga and Walnut. The fretboard is bound Macassar Ebony, inlaid with White Step off-set dot markers, and carries 24 Jumbo Sub Zero treated frets across a 400mm radius. The 648mm (25.5") scale runs to a 43mm nut. The pickup array consists of three Fishman Fluence units: a Modern Humbucker at the neck (Active/Alnico), a Single Width at the middle position (Active/Ceramic), and a Modern Humbucker at the bridge (Active/Ceramic). Anchoring the strings is a Gibraltar Standard II bridge with 10.8mm string spacing. All hardware is finished in black. The instrument left the factory strung with D'Addario EXL110s (.010–.046) in standard E tuning.
Owners sourcing replacement parts should note that the Gibraltar Standard II bridge accepts standard saddle and post dimensions — a guitar technician or qualified luthier can advise on compatible replacements. For the Fishman Fluence pickups, Fishman's own replacement and accessory ecosystem covers battery packs, rechargeable modules, and switching components.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
