Description

Ibanez built the S6570QNBL as part of the S Prestige Series, positioning it near the upper tier of the S line. The Prestige designation indicated Japanese domestic-standard production quality and fret edge treatment, placing the model above the standard S-series offerings in Ibanez's hierarchy.

The guitar was constructed with an African Mahogany body topped with Quilted Maple, finished in Natural Blue. The neck is a five-piece Maple/Walnut Super Wizard HP profile reinforced with KTS Titanium rods, topped with a bound Macassar Ebony fretboard carrying off-set white dot inlays, 24 jumbo frets with Prestige fret edge treatment, a 43mm nut width, and a 430mmR radius. The 648mm/25.5-inch scale runs to a Lo-Pro Edge tremolo bridge with 10.8mm string spacing. Pickup configuration is HSH: a DiMarzio Air Norton (Alnico, passive) at the neck, a DiMarzio True Velvet single-coil (Alnico, passive) in the middle, and a DiMarzio The Tone Zone (Alnico, passive) at the bridge. All hardware is finished in Cosmo black. The guitar shipped strung with D'Addario EXL120s (.009–.042) in standard E tuning.

Owners requiring setup work, tremolo calibration, or sourcing of Lo-Pro Edge replacement parts or DiMarzio pickup components should consult a qualified guitar technician familiar with Ibanez Edge-series tremolo systems.

The owner archive

From the people who own them

Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.

Put yours on the record.

The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.

What do you know about this one?

Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
