Ibanez built the RG60ALSBAM as part of the RG Axion Label series, positioning it as a high-specification, extended-range-adjacent electric guitar within the broader RG line. The Axion Label designation placed it toward the upper tier of the RG family, targeting players seeking modern construction and active-style sustain technology in a standard six-string format.
The guitar was constructed with a Nyatoh body and a five-piece Panga Panga/Walnut Nitro Wizard neck — a slim, fast profile characteristic of the RG platform. The Macassar Ebony fretboard carried 24 jumbo, Sub Zero treated frets with white step off-set dot inlays, and a 400mm radius. The nut width measured 43mm, tapering to 58mm at the 24th fret, with neck thicknesses of 19mm at the first fret and 21mm at the twelfth. Scale length was 648mm (25.5 inches). The Edge-Zero II tremolo bridge, with 10.8mm string spacing, handled pitch shifting duties. Pickup configuration paired a Sustainiac Driver at the neck — providing sustain feedback capability — with a passive, ceramic DiMarzio Fusion Edge humbucker at the bridge. All hardware was finished in black. The instrument left the factory strung with D'Addario EXL120 strings (.009–.042) in standard E tuning.
Owners requiring tremolo setup, Sustainiac system adjustment, or fret work should consult a qualified guitar technician familiar with double-locking tremolo systems.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
