Ibanez built the S6570SKSTB as part of the S Prestige Series, positioning it at the upper tier of the S line where Japanese-production standards and premium component sourcing defined the specification. The model carried the Sunset Burst finish over a Silky Oak top on an African Mahogany body, following the S Series tradition of a lightweight, contoured platform suited to high-register playing.
The neck is a Super Wizard HP five-piece Maple/Walnut construction with KTS Titanium reinforcement rods, paired with a bound Macassar Ebony fretboard carrying off-set white dot inlays, 24 jumbo frets, and the Prestige fret edge treatment. The 648 mm/25.5-inch scale runs to a 43 mm nut, widening to 58 mm at the 24th fret, with a 17 mm first-fret thickness and 19 mm at the 12th, all across a 430 mm radius board. The Lo-Pro Edge tremolo bridge is set at 10.8 mm string spacing. The HSH pickup configuration uses three DiMarzio units — an Air Norton humbucker at the neck, a True Velvet single-coil in the middle, and The Tone Zone humbucker at the bridge — each passive/Alnico. All hardware is finished in Cosmo black. The guitar shipped strung with D'Addario EXL120s in a .009–.042 gauging at standard E tuning.
Owners sourcing replacement tremolo components, pickup mounting hardware, or nut stock should verify measurements against the figures above before ordering, and consult a qualified guitar technician for setup, fret work, or any tremolo calibration specific to the Lo-Pro Edge system.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
