Ibanez produced the S6521QSLG as part of the S Prestige Series, a line positioned at the upper tier of the S body range and built to the tighter tolerances and component specifications associated with Prestige-grade instruments. The six-string, 24-fret configuration sits at standard pitch, and the quilted maple top over an African Mahogany body gives the instrument its visual identity in the Surreal Blue Burst Gloss finish.
The neck is a five-piece Maple/Walnut Super Wizard HP profile, reinforced with KTS TITANIUM rods, running a 648 mm/25.5" scale across a bound Macassar Ebony fretboard with off-set white dot inlays. Fretwork is jumbo gauge and receives Prestige fret edge treatment. The Graph Tech BLACK TUSQ XL nut measures 43 mm at the first fret, widening to 58 mm at the 24th; neck thickness runs 17 mm at the first fret and 19 mm at the 12th, with a 430 mm radius. A Gibraltar Standard II bridge handles string spacing at 10.8 mm. Pickups are passive, Alnico-loaded DiMarzio units — an Air Norton humbucker at the neck and a Tone Zone humbucker at the bridge — with all hardware finished in Cosmo black. The instrument left the factory strung with D'Addario EXL110s (.010–.046).
Owners sourcing replacement parts — including Graph Tech BLACK TUSQ XL nuts, Gibraltar Standard II bridge components, or DiMarzio Air Norton and Tone Zone pickups — should verify fit against the measurements listed here. For setup adjustments or fretwork, consult a qualified guitar technician.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
