Ibanez produced the PN12EVMS as part of its PF Series, positioning it as a parlor-format acoustic-electric with onboard electronics at an accessible tier in the line. The High Gloss Vintage Mahogany Sunburst finish was among the defining visual identifiers of this model.
The PN12EVMS was built around a Sapele top with Nyatoh back, sides, and neck — a combination Ibanez employed to deliver a consistent tonal character in this body class. The Nandu Wood fretboard and bridge are joined by white dot inlays and a black-and-white multi-layer soundhole rosette. Hardware is handled by chrome die-cast tuners, plastic nut and saddle, and Ibanez Advantage bridge pins. Electronics consist of an Ibanez Undersaddle pickup paired with an AEQ-2T preamp featuring an onboard tuner, with output via a standard 1/4" jack. The neck profile measures 42mm at the nut and carries a 250mm radius fretboard over an 18-fret layout, with a 620mm scale length.
