Ibanez produced the PF15VS as part of the PF Series, positioning it as a dreadnought acoustic aimed at players seeking a full-body acoustic platform. The Vintage Sunburst High Gloss finish was the defining visual characteristic of this variant within the PF15 range.
Construction centred on a spruce top paired with nyatoh back and sides, with a nyatoh neck and nandu wood fretboard and bridge. White dot inlays marked the fretboard positions, and a black and white multi-layer rosette surrounded the soundhole. Hardware consisted of chrome die-cast tuners, plastic nut and saddle, and Ibanez Advantage bridge pins. The guitar shipped strung with a .012–.053 gauged set at standard E-to-E factory tuning.
