- Finish
- Brown Sunburst High Gloss
Ibanez produced the PN15BS as part of the PF Series, positioning it as a parlor-body acoustic in the brand's entry-level acoustic range. The Brown Sunburst High Gloss finish was the defining cosmetic marker of this variant within the PN15 line.
The body was constructed with a spruce top over nyatoh back and sides, with a nyatoh neck joining at the body. The fretboard and bridge were both nandu wood, dotted with white dot inlays along the board. Hardware consisted of chrome die-cast tuners, plastic nut and saddle, and Ibanez Advantage bridge pins. The soundhole was ringed with a black and white multi-layer rosette. The scale measured 620mm, the nut width 42mm, and the neck profile ran 20mm thick at the first fret and 21mm at the seventh, with a 250mm radius fretboard. The instrument carried 18 frets and left the factory strung with a .012–.053 gauge set at standard tuning, with an 11mm string spacing at the bridge.
Owners sourcing replacement parts — particularly the nandu wood bridge, plastic nut or saddle, or Ibanez Advantage bridge pins — should verify measurements against the dimensions listed above before ordering, and consult a qualified luthier or guitar technician for any setup, nut replacement or fretwork.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
